RuStore is Russia’s official state-backed mobile app store, launched on May 25, 2022, by VK Corporation in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

Created in response to Google’s withdrawal from the Russian market following the invasion of Ukraine, RuStore serves as the country’s primary alternative to Google Play for Android users.

The platform integrates security scanning systems developed by Kaspersky Lab and VK, ensuring safety checks for hosted apps.
