Aiwa (stylized as aiwa) is a Japanese consumer electronics brand owned by Aiwa Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Towada Audio Holdings.

Re-established in 2017, the company focuses primarily on audio products such as speakers, headphones, and home sound systems. The Aiwa brand is also licensed globally, with different regional partners producing a range of electronics under its name.

The original Aiwa was founded in 1951 and rose to prominence as a pioneer in personal and home audio, known for its cassette players, boomboxes, and stereo systems. Acquired by Sony in 2002, the brand was discontinued in 2008 after a brief attempt at repositioning. Its revival in 2017 by Towada marked the return of one of Japan’s most iconic audio names, blending its legacy of innovation with modern design and digital sound technologies.
