The Australia men’s national soccer team, nicknamed the Socceroos, represents Australia in international men’s soccer.

Governed by Football Australia, affiliated with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), the team played its first match in 1922.

Initially part of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), Australia joined the AFC in 2006, competing in World Cups and Asian Cups with a strong record of regional success.
