Avirex is an American clothing brand known for aviation-inspired apparel, particularly leather bomber jackets. Founded in 1975 in New York City by Jeff Clyman, the brand became popular for designs influenced by military flight jackets and aviation culture.
Avirex later produced aviation-style apparel for the U.S. Air Force in the 1980s by reissuing the A-2 jacket. The brand was sold to entrepreneur Marc Ecko in 2006 and is currently owned by Centric Brands in the United States.
