It was founded by Wang Chuanfu in February 1995. The company has two major subsidiaries, BYD Automobile and BYD Electronic.[8] BYD Company focuses on automobiles, buses, electric bicycles, trucks, forklifts, solar panels and rechargeable batteries industries.
