Following the merger with EMC Corporation on September 7, 2016, Dell Technologies was established as the new parent company, marking the largest technology merger in history.

To reflect this transformation, Dell introduced a new wordmark and corporate identity in 2016, featuring thinner strokes in the logo while retaining the iconic slanted “E” designed by Siegel+Gale.

The updated Dell logo, created in collaboration with Brand Union, slimmed down the font and maintained the recognizable canted “E” to honor the company’s origins, with the typeface changed to a lighter, more modern style using Dell Replica (a custom version of LL Replica) and Roboto fonts.

The logo also retained its blue and white color scheme, with a thinner circular frame symbolizing global presence and evolution. This design was applied to both Dell and Dell Technologies, ensuring brand consistency across the conglomerate, which includes Dell, Dell EMC, VMware, and other subsidiaries.

The new branding emphasized Dell’s focus on innovation and reliability, aligning with its expanded portfolio in personal computers, servers, data storage, and IT services.
