Doritos is an American brand of flavored tortilla chips produced by Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Originating at a Disneyland restaurant managed by Frito-Lay, the brand was launched in 1964.
The name “Doritos” comes from the Spanish term “doradito“, meaning “little fried and golden thing” a diminutive of dorado (fried and golden thing).
