EMPI (European Motor Products Incorporated) is an American automotive brand specializing in aftermarket performance parts for air-cooled Volkswagen vehicles. Founded in 1956 by Joe Vittone, the company became well known among enthusiasts for performance upgrades and accessories.
EMPI played a role in the early customization scene for classic Volkswagen models and introduced products such as the EMPI Imp dune buggy. Although the original company closed in 1974, the brand continues today under new ownership, maintaining its presence in the aftermarket automotive industry.
