G-Shock is a line of watches produced by Japanese electronics company Casio, engineered to withstand mechanical stress, shock, and vibration.
Conceptualized in 1981 by Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe after accidentally breaking a pocket watch gifted by his father, the first G-Shock model, the DW-5000C, was released in 1983, becoming iconic for its durability and rugged design.
