Globe Telecom, Inc., widely known as Globe, is a leading telecommunications provider in the Philippines.

Its origins trace back to December 8, 1928, when the Philippine Legislature enacted Act No. 3495, awarding the Robert Dollar Company—a California-based corporation—a franchise to offer wireless long-distance messaging services in the country. Later, on November 28, 1934, Act No. 4150 transferred this franchise to Globe Wireless Limited, which was officially incorporated in the Philippines on January 15, 1935.
