Hublot is a Swiss luxury watchmaker founded in 1980 by Italian entrepreneur Carlo Crocco.

Established under the company MDM Geneve, Hublot revolutionized watch design with the introduction of the first natural rubber strap — a breakthrough that took three years of research and became a hallmark of the brand’s fusion of tradition and innovation.

The brand’s name, meaning “porthole” in French, reflects its signature design aesthetic of bold, industrial elegance. Though its debut at the 1980 Basel Watch Fair initially drew little attention, Hublot quickly achieved commercial success.
