Jollibee, the flagship brand of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), is a Filipino fast food chain founded in 1978 by Tony Tan Caktiong.

It is the Philippines leading fast food restaurant and one of the world’s fastest-growing chains.

The business began in 1975 as a Magnolia ice cream parlor in Cubao, Quezon City, opened by Tony Tan Caktiong and his family. As hot meals and sandwiches gained popularity over ice cream, the parlor transitioned into a fast food restaurant, becoming the first Jollibee outlet in 1978 with guidance from management consultant Manuel C. Lumba.

Originally named “Jolibe” it was later rebranded as “Jollibee.”
