KIX is an American hard rock band formed in 1976, gaining prominence in the 1980s.
The classic lineup included guitarists Ronnie “10/10” Younkins and Brian “Damage” Forsythe, bassist Donnie Purnell, frontman Steve Whiteman, and drummer Jimmy “Chocolate” Chalfant.
After covering bands like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin, KIX signed with Atlantic Records in 1981. They remained active through recording and touring until disbanding in 2023.
