Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California. The group is known for blending alternative rock, nu metal, electronic, and hip-hop elements, creating a distinctive sound that defined a generation of modern rock music. The band originally rose to global prominence with a lineup that included lead vocalist Chester Bennington, whose powerful vocals became central to Linkin Park’s identity.

Following Bennington’s death in 2017, the band entered a long hiatus. In 2024, Linkin Park announced its return with a renewed lineup, introducing vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain alongside longtime members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, and Dave Farrell. The reformation marked a new chapter while continuing the band’s legacy.
