Marubeni Corporation (丸紅株式会社), founded in 1858 by Chubei Itoh as a linen trading business, is a Japanese sōgō shōsha (general trading company) headquartered in Otemachi, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.
Established as Itochu Shoten, Ltd. in 1918 through a spin-off from C. Itoh & Co. (Itochu), it adopted the name Marubeni in 1921.
