Metro International is a Swedish media company based in Luxembourg, known for publishing the freesheet newspaper Metro. Founded by Per Andersson as part of the Modern Times Group, it is now controlled by Custos, an investment company owned by Mats Qviberg. The first edition, Metro Stockholm, was distributed in the Stockholm metro. By 2012, all European editions, except the Hungarian one, had been sold.
