First introduced in 2023 as Bing Chat, the service was later unified under the Copilot brand and positioned as Microsoft’s primary AI assistant, replacing Cortana. Powered by advanced language models, Copilot delivers conversational support and automation across multiple platforms.

Its logo is nearly identical to the current Microsoft 365 logo, with the only difference being that the Windows Copilot logo only uses shades of blue, whereas Microsoft 365 uses shades of purple.
