The NBA G League is North America’s professional basketball developmental league, operated by the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Established in 2001 as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL), it was renamed the NBA Development League in 2005 and became the G League in 2017 through a partnership with Gatorade.
As of the 2024–25 season, the league features 31 teams, nearly all affiliated with NBA franchises except the Mexico City Capitanes.
