The Saudi Arabia national football team, known as the Green Falcons, represents Saudi Arabia in international men’s football and is governed by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF). The team is widely regarded as one of the most successful national sides in Asian football history.

Saudi Arabia has won the AFC Asian Cup three times (1984, 1988, and 1996) and has qualified for the FIFA World Cup on seven occasions. The team’s most notable World Cup achievement came in 1994 when it reached the Round of 16 in its tournament debut.

The Green Falcons gained worldwide attention during the 2022 FIFA World Cup by defeating eventual champions Argentina national football team 2–1, one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history.

Saudi Arabia will continue to play a major role in international football by hosting the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
