TAROM (Compania Națională de Transporturi Aeriene Române TAROM S.A.) is the flag carrier and oldest operating airline of Romania, headquartered in Otopeni, near Bucharest.
Its main hub is Henri Coandă International Airport, and it serves as Romania’s largest airline by international destinations and flight network, and the second largest by fleet size and passenger volume.
Founded in 1954, TAROM’s name is derived from Transporturile Aeriene Române (“Romanian Air Transport”). In 2010, TAROM became a member of the SkyTeam alliance, expanding its global reach through partnerships with other international carriers.
