TGR Haas F1 Team is an American-licensed Formula One racing team founded in 2014 by Gene Haas, the owner of a NASCAR Cup Series team.
The team made its Formula One debut in the 2016 season and has since competed as the only U.S.-licensed outfit on the F1 grid. In 2024, Ayao Komatsu was appointed team principal, succeeding Guenther Steiner, who had led the team since its formation.
In late 2024, Haas entered a technical partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR). Under this collaboration, Toyota provides design, technical, and manufacturing support, while Haas contributes its Formula One expertise and commercial reach. The partnership marked a significant strategic step, strengthening the team’s technical foundation and global profile.
