Thomas & Friends is a British children’s television series based on The Railway Series books by Wilbert and Christopher Awdry. The show follows anthropomorphic locomotives and vehicles living on the fictional Island of Sodor.
First released in 1984, the series became a long-running children’s program with over 500 episodes. It began using model-based live-action production and later transitioned to CGI animation, remaining a popular franchise in kids’ entertainment.
