Tranmere Rovers Football Club is a professional football team based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England.
Founded in 1884 as Belmont Football Club and renamed a year later, Tranmere has played in an all-white kit with blue or green trim since 1962.
The club has been based at Prenton Park since 1912, a stadium that was redeveloped in 1995 and now seats 16,567. Tranmere Rovers currently compete in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of English football.
