The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, competing in the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
They play their home games at Hamilton Stadium. The team’s history dates back to 1869 with the formation of the Hamilton Football Club, which soon adopted the “Tigers” nickname.
In 1950, the Tigers merged with the Hamilton Wildcats to consolidate local support, and the combined team became known as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Today, the Tiger-Cats are one of the CFL’s oldest and most iconic franchises.
