The 2025–26 La Liga represents the 95th season of Spain’s top-flight football league since its founding in 1929. As one of the most prestigious and technically brilliant football competitions in the world, La Liga continues to showcase elite talent, historic rivalries, and dramatic storylines across 20 passionate clubs.
2025–26 La Liga Teams
A total of 20 clubs will participate in the 2025–26 La Liga season – featuring 17 clubs retained from the 2024–25 campaign, along with 3 newly promoted teams from the Segunda División.
The promoted teams are:
- Real Valladolid – returning after 1 season
- Levante UD – promoted after 2 seasons
- Real Oviedo – back in the top tier after 23 years
These clubs replace:
All three relegated teams return to the Segunda División after a single season in La Liga.
