Sukhoi was a Russian aircraft manufacturer known for designing both military and civilian aircraft. The company was established as the Sukhoi Design Bureau and developed a wide range of aircraft models used by the Soviet Union and later Russia.

Founded in 1939 by aerospace engineer Pavel Sukhoi, the company became one of the major aircraft design organizations in Russia. In 2006, Sukhoi was merged with several other aviation manufacturers to form the United Aircraft Corporation.
