Buc-ee’s Holdings, Inc., commonly known as Buc-ee’s, is an American chain of country stores, gas stations, and electric vehicle charging centers headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Founded in 1982 by Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, Buc-ee’s began as a small convenience store in Clute, Texas, before opening its first large-scale travel center in Luling in 2003.

Renowned for its spotless restrooms, friendly service, and beaver mascot, Buc-ee’s has built a cult-like following among travelers. The chain is notable for its massive convenience stores—often featuring hundreds of fuel pumps, Texas barbecue, fresh snacks, and an array of branded merchandise. As of 2024, the company operates in multiple U.S. states, with its largest location in Luling, Texas, and plans for further national expansion.

Buc-ee’s prohibits 18-wheelers at its sites to maintain a family-friendly, car-oriented atmosphere, a policy that distinguishes it from traditional truck stops.
