Fagiano Okayama (ファジアーノ岡山) is a professional Japanese football club based in Okayama City, the capital of Okayama Prefecture.
The team competes in the J1 League, the top tier of Japanese football. Founded in 1975 following the relocation of Kawasaki Steel Mizushima F.C. (now Vissel Kobe), the club has grown into a regional symbol of pride and community identity.
The name Fagiano comes from the Italian word for pheasant, inspired by the bird that accompanies Momotarō, the hero of a famous local legend. Their mascot, Fagimaru, represents the green pheasant, a species native to Japan.
