San Diego Wave FC is a professional women’s soccer club based in San Diego, California, competing in the National Women’s Soccer League.
Founded in 2021 and debuting in 2022, the Wave play their home matches at Snapdragon Stadium and quickly made an impact on the league.
The club captured the NWSL Shield in 2023 with the league’s best record, earning its first major trophy, and followed it with the NWSL Challenge Cup title in 2024.
As San Diego’s first professional women’s soccer team since 2003, the Wave represent the return of top-flight women’s soccer to the city, building strong support through competitive success and community engagement.
