Coupe de France (also known as the French Cup) is the premier knockout football competition in France, organized by the French Football Federation (FFF).

First held in 1917, the tournament is open to all amateur and professional clubs across France, including teams from overseas departments and territories. This open format makes the Coupe de France unique in French football, often producing surprise matchups between grassroots clubs and top-tier teams.

The final is traditionally played at the Stade de France, and the winner earns qualification for the UEFA Europa League group stage as well as a place in the Trophée des Champions. A parallel women’s competition, the Coupe de France Féminine, is also held, reinforcing the tournament’s central role in French football culture.
