The Egypt national football team, nicknamed The Pharaohs, represents Egypt in international men’s football and is governed by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA). It is one of the most successful and historic national teams in African football.

Egypt is recognized as the oldest national football team in Africa and has achieved remarkable success on the continental stage. The Pharaohs hold the record for the most Africa Cup of Nations titles, having won the tournament seven times.

The national team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup on three occasions and made history as the first African and Middle Eastern nation to participate in the competition. Egypt has also enjoyed success in youth football, including a third-place finish at the 2001 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Throughout its history, Egypt has produced legendary players such as Mohamed Salah, one of the most accomplished African footballers of the modern era.
